R.O.G. Takeaway Tips:
Wherever you go, there you are.
Put your best two feet on the ground and stand up straight.
Seek the sun. Seek the light, and seek to nourish yourself in the best way possible.
In a world where you can be anything to be kind, to be kind to yourself, to each other, to the planet.
Put the phones down. Put the social media down. Find some time to be in love, to be still, to be quiet.
Realize that every drop fills the cup.
Lots of people can do great big things.
It's the small stuff daily that really adds up. Showing up is very powerful. Being consistent in what you do and what you say is very powerful.
No one will go broke giving love. So, give love freely and you know, you're always going to get it back.

R.O.G. Takeaway Tips:
Organizational focus on DEI:
Focus on the things that are most impactful. What are you solving for? What are the initiatives that will have the largest impact? Measure the impact on the barriers.
Link DEI to core business strategy. Diversity is leading to business outcomes. Connect the work you are doing to the mission of the organization. Understand the business well and make the DEI work integral and core to the business. Quantify how it grows the business. Make it congruent with purpose and how business is done.
Influence key leaders to be allies and stakeholders. They will advocate on your behalf of the efforts you are making.
How to influence? Meet people where they are, without judgment. What makes the tick? Give them whatever experiences they need (head: data, listening to lived experiences; heart: engage in a position of being a minority, listen). Have a plethora of strategies.
Belonging: How can our organization belong to diversity elite companies?

Head, Heart, Briefcase, and that's for all of us to do our own inventory of, you know, what are our key behaviors, what are our core values, and what are some of the experiences that we have that we leverage in our careers.
Asking quality questions and opening up conversations to gain information and put the person in a position of power.
Make generosity a part of your cultural norm and look for ways in and outside of the walls of your business to make a big impact.
Ask the key three questions to recruit and retain A-Players. Where do you want to be in three years? 10 years? What does it look like for every one of the people in the company? Start with you as an individual. Start with your leaders.
Am I being challenged every day?
Do I see the path forward / where am I going/ what’s next?
Do I recognize the value I am contributing? What impact are you having?
